Professor Tarasi graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery (1989) at the University of Rome, La Sapienza; he also obtained a Specialization with honors in Internal Medicine (1994) at the same university.

From 1993 to 1995 he obtained a post-doctoral fellowship at Rockefeller University, New York, USA; in 2000 he obtained a PhD in Internal Medicine at the University of L’Aquila and works at the U.O.S. of Clinical Immunology at San Giovanni Hospital since 2005.

He has been Professor of Infectious Diseases and Rheumatology for the Degree Course of Physiotherapy and Nursing at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” up to 2017.

He has also written numerous scientific publications for national and international magazines.
