Professor Nucera obtained an M.D. Degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Messina, Italy (1995) with full Marks and Honors. In 1995, she also obtained the licensure in Medicine and enrolled in the Register of Physicians Surgeons of Reggio Calabria.

In 2002 obtained the Residency in Neurology (5 years) at the University of Modena and Reggio Calabria.

In 2013 pursued a Post-Graduate Degree in Pharmaceutical Policy, Pricing and Reimbursement at the London School of Economics and Political Science (London, UK).

Today is the head of the Neurological Department at Ospedale Spaziani in Frosinone, Italy.

Furthermore, she works with magazines and newspaper such as Il Sole 24 ore, Repubblica and Il Corriere della Sera, writing articles on the knowledge and prevention of cardio and cerebrovascular pathology.
