Prof. Di Paolo is Gastroenterologist, responsible for “Reference Center for Inflammatory Intestinal Diseases and Celiac Disease” from 1 March 2018 at the hospital San Giovanni in Rome.
She obtained in 1987 her degree cum laude in Medicine and Surgery at “La Sapienza” University of Rome and then her Specialisation in Gastroenterology and digestive endoscopy in 1983.
Then, in 1993 at “La Sapienza” University of Rome she obtained her PhD in Gastroenterological Sciences.
Rotarian since 2006, during her presidency years (2012-2013) she conceived, organised and coordinated a non-invasive screening of celiac disease in primary schools in a population of 2000 children.
From May 2019 to December 2021 she has been President of Italian Association of Hospital Gastroenterologists and Endoscopists (AIGO), Lazio Region section; in the period 2015 – 2020 she was Member of Technical Table for Celiac Disease, Lazio Region.
She is National Coordinator of IBD Commission for Italian Association of Hospital Gastroenterologists and Endoscopists (AIGO) since July 2022 and scientific Director and Speaker in National Congresses.
