Graduated in Medical Biotechnology, she obtained PhD in Science and Biotechnology of Reproduction and Development in 2014. Subsequently, she was a postdoctoral research fellow at the section of Histology and Embryology, Department of Biomedicine and Prevention, of the University of Roma Tor Vergata. She carried out research activity at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York.

She is currently Researcher BIO/17 Histology at the Saint Camillus International University of Health and Medical Sciences.

She has a broad background in reproductive and developmental biology and possesses expertise in the handling and culture of pre- and post-implantation embryos, culture of stem cells, morphological, biochemical, histological and molecular biology techniques. The main objective of her is to examine the molecular mechanisms regulating implantation of the mammalian embryo and placental development. Her research is also focused on toxicological aspects of engineered nanomaterials (ENM) on placental/foetal development.

So far, she has published numerous publications in international peer-reviewed journals and participated in numerous national and international conferences.
