Miriam Conte

Biography

She graduated in Medicine and Surgery at “Sapienza University of Rome” where she specialized in Nuclear  Medicine “cum laude”.

Her research focuses on molecular theragnostics in oncology, in particular on the use  of nanoparticles radiolabeled with gamma-camera and PET radiopharmaceuticals, and on the application of theragnostics in precision photothermal therapy.

Actively involved in research on alpha-emitter therapy for  patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer. Her studies also deal with receptor  radioisotopes for cardiological and neurological diseases such as heart failure, Parkinson’s disease and  atypical Parkinsonisms.

Author of more than 25 scientific publications and abstracts of international and  national conferences.

Winner of the “AIMN Award for Best Thesis in Nuclear Medicine” Academic Year 2022  with the thesis “Analysis of the predictive value of 123I-mIBG scintigraphy in heart failure in relation to the  sex of the studied subjects”.
