Following his graduation in Medicine and Surgery confirmed by the University of Rome “Sapienza”, he worked for 5 years at the National Cancer Institute, in Bethesda (Maryland, USA).
Then, he returned to Italy where he worked at the Medical School of the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”.
At the present time, he is full professor of Clinical Pathology at the University “Tor Vergata”.
His scientific activity focuses on the mechanisms leading to tumor development and progression.
He has written 95 scientific papers, published in international, high-impact journals.
