Graduated in Biological Science. She obtained a PhD in “Evolutionist Biology and Ecology” and a Specialty Degree in Medical Genetics.
Since 2021 she is Associate Professor in Medical Genetics at UniCamillus, Saint Camillus International University of Health Sciences, where previously she has been Researcher (RTDb).
Her research focused on the Genetics field with particular interest in studies regarding a) genetic factors and their interactions in the susceptibility to multifactorial diseases and their role in the clinical manifestations and phenotypes b) Pharmacogenetics and Genomic Biomarkers and their application in the clinical practice.
She has participated in several funded Research Projects. Co-author of 74 papers in peer-review journals, 71 indexed in MEDLINE, and 54 abstracts presented at National and International meetings.
She serves as Academic Editor for “Genes”, “Plos One” and for “Journal of Immunology Research. She is “ad hoc” Reviewer for several Journals.
Member of SIGU (Italian Society of Human Genetics).
