Medical doctor since 1985, specialized in Resuscitation and Anaestesia, specialized in Hygiene and Preventive Medicine.
Ph.D. in Infectious Diseases and Immunological Therapies with a thesis on “asylum seekers and health status in Italy”.
From 1988 to 2006 she worked for the Red Cross (National and International) in many positions.
For long time she has been responsible for the Italian Red Cross Health Cooperation.
In 2005 and 2006 she managed all the Italian Red Cross projects after Tsunami in Sri Lanka.
In 2007- 2009 she was the Health director of ”Asyluum Seekers and Refugees Camp (C.A.R.A.)” in Castelnuovo di Porto (Italy), the biggest in Europe.
In 2010-2011 IFRC -International Federation of Red Cross/ Red Crescent “Health and Care Coordinator for South-Asia”.
She collaborates with different NGOs in India and Pakistan as WWHI- India or Global Learning.
Since 2000 she has been focusing her studies on the link among “woman empowerment, health and Human Rights”.
On it she makes also seminars at the Faculty of Law of the Hamburg University and,she collaborates to the project Agrinovia led by the Faculty of Sociology in Ouagdougu, Burkina Faso.
