I am a PhD holder in Microbiology, Immunology and Infectious Diseases, and a Master Degree in Epidemiology and Control of Infectious Diseases.
I am a Researcher at the UniCamillus-Saint Camillus International University of Health Sciences of Rome.
I am passionate and engaged in conducting state-of-art research to bridge the gaps in the fields of public health and biomedical sciences, especially in the global south.
My area of expertise includes the study of viral diversity and genetic variability, viral reservoirs, antimicrobial resistance, implementation science, epidemiology, pandemic and epidemic preparedness and response, biostatistics and laboratory strengthening. As an expert in the field of HIV science, I am currently one of the International AIDS Society (IAS) “Change Maker”, providing meaningful data and insights on the persistent gaps in pediatrics HIV/AIDS.
My long-term goal is to be an accomplished scientist that build and train a network of next generation scientists capable of facing present and future infectious diseases threats.
