UniCamillus University stands alongside Komen Italia in the Race For The Cure 2024. This year marks the 25th edition of the major charity event aimed at raising funds for breast cancer research. On 9th, 10th and 11th of May, our University will be hosting a stand at the Circo Massimo in Rome to help spread the message about the importance of prevention and to contribute to supporting research.
Sunday 12th May will then see the traditional marathon, the climax of this four-day event, being the world’s largest in the fight against breast cancer. The race will wind its way through the historic centre of the capital and will be divided into a competitive route of 10 km and a non-competitive one of 5 km. Additionally, for those less accustomed to running but still eager to participate and willing to go for a leasurely spring stroll, a 2 km walk between the Circo Massimo and Piazza Venezia has also been planned.
The Race For The Cure is an event open to everyone, adults and children, sponsored by the Presidency of the Republic and the main institutions of this country. Besides raising funds for research, Komen aims to engage and sensitize as many people as possible on issues related to cancer and prevention, through health care, wellness, nutrition, and sports activities. These issues are also particularly important to UniCamillus, which is proud to participate.
