Histology - BIOS-13/A (formerly Bio/17)

Biography

Graduated in Medical Biotechnology, she obtained her PhD in Reproductive and Developmental Sciences and Biotechnologies in 2013 at the University of Rome Tor Vergata.

The research activity carried out during the PhD was mainly focused on the generation of mouse models to elucidate the molecular and cellular mechanisms that regulate the development of the male gonad.

She carried out his post-doctoral research activity at the Laboratory of Molecular and Cellular Endocrinology of the La Sapienza University of Rome coordinated by Prof. Andrea Isidori, dedicating herself to the generation and characterization of knock-out mouse models for the study of metabolic diseases.

The main objective of her research is to deepen knowledge of the molecular mechanisms involved in the development of metabolic diseases and some types of tumors with particular focus on cyclic nucleotide – Phosphodiesterases signaling.

She is author of numerous articles published in prestigious scientific journals and collaborates with national and international research groups. She was and is currently responsible for research projects funded by the Ministry of University and Research.

She is Associate Professor in UniCamillus.
