Dr. Eleonora Rosina graduated in Human Biology at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” and, subsequently, she received a master’s degree in Medical Biotechnologies at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”.
During her PhD, from February 2017 to October 2019, she pursued her research activities at the Laboratory of Molecular Neurobiology under the supervision of Prof. Claudia Bagni, at the Department of Fundamental Neurosciences, University of Lausanne, Switzerland. In 2020, she obtained the PhD in Neuroscience, with a “European label”, at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”.
Since 2019, she has been teaching as an adjunct professor of Applied Biology for the MSc Medicine and Surgery at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”.
She has been involved in research projects, both national and international, as a research fellow or post-doctoral research contract.
She is a member of the Italian Association of Biology and Genetics (AIBG). Her research activities aim at understanding the molecular basis of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Fragile X Syndrome (FXS), focusing on the interaction between prenatal immune insult and the FMR1 gene mutation, using both animal models and human cell lines. Dr. Rosina has co-authored publications in international scientific journals, and she has attended several national and international conferences.
In May 2024, she got a position as Researcher (RTDa), SSD BIOS-10/A (BIO/13), at Unicamillus – Saint Camillus International University of Health and Medical Sciences, Rome, Italy.
