In the 2012-2013 academic year, Prof.ssa Scarlino obtained her Specialist Degree in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics (Laurea Specialistica a ciclo unico in Odontoiatria e Protesi Dentaria) with a final grade of 110/110 cum laude on October 21, 2013, from La Sapienza University of Rome. Her experimental thesis was titled: “Partial Osteotomic Technique with Palatal Approach for Maxillary Transverse Expansion,” supervised by Prof. Massimo Galli and co-supervised by Prof. Alessandro Silvestri.

She became a licensed dentist after passing the State Exam in the first session of November 2013 at La Sapienza University of Rome. She is registered with the Order of Dentists of the Province of Lecce (registration number 875).

In the 2015/2016 academic year, she completed her Specialization in Odontostomatological Surgery with 50/50 cum laude at Federico II University of Naples. Her thesis, supervised by Prof. Luca Ramaglia, was titled “Ridge Split and Implant Placement in Kennedy Class III: A Comparison of Two Surgical Techniques.”

Prof.ssa Scarlino currently serves as a Dental Surgeon at Policlinico Umberto I and is a faculty member at UniCamillus University in Rome.
