The Breast Project: “The woman we care for” has been launched. It is a prevention initiative carried out by the Regina Apostolorum Hospital, a prestigious health facility in Albano Laziale, in collaboration with the UniCamillus International Medical University of Rome.
On September 19 and 20, free appointments will be offered to women in the 40-49 age group, who will have the opportunity to undergo specialised breast examinations, mammographies, and sonographies, upon booking at +39 06 93298137 from Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm.
In addition, it will be possible to freely visit the collective art exhibition “La donna che abbiamo a cuore” (The woman we care for), an exhibition of more than 30 works including canvases, sculptures, photographs and installations, entirely dedicated to women, set up along the whole treatment path inside the Albano Laziale Hospital.
Professor Gianni Profita, the Magnificent Rector of UniCamillus, declares: “The UniCamillus International Medical University is thrilled to actively participate in the Breast Project, which highlights the connection between art and life. As Aristotle said, medical art is a combination of technical knowledge and ‘artistic’ skills, which today we would call transversal, such as empathy, sensitivity, intuition and the ability to communicate. It is for this reason that we wanted to promptly join the initiative, as a reminder that the healing process and technical development go hand in hand with a genuine interest in the patient and a recognition of the value of the sense of fulfilment, which comes from experiencing art in all its forms”.
From Monday, September 26, the new breast clinic will also be active at the Regina Apostolorum Hospital, offering a complete programme for the prevention and early diagnosis of breast diseases, with particular focus on breast cancer.
