He graduated in Medicine and Surgery with honors in 2006, then specialized in Oncology, and subsequently obtained a PhD in Experimental Oncology, Hematology, and Clinical Pathology from the University of Bologna.
In February 2023, he obtained the National Scientific Qualification, Second Level, Scientific Disciplinary Sector MED/06-D3 Blood Diseases, Oncology, and Rheumatology.
In 2024, he attended a master’s course in Clinical Research and Medical Affairs at the 24OreBS.
For several years, he worked at the IRCSS IRST “Dino Amadori” in Meldola (FC) as consultant with clinical and research activities, initially in the field of lung neoplasms and subsequently in rare tumors such neuroendocrine neoplasia, sarcomas and head and neck cancer and bone metastases at the Center for Osteoncology and Rare Tumors (CDO_TR), then at the Clinical and Experimental Oncology Unit for Immunotherapy and Rare Tumors, Biological Resource Center, IRCCS-IRST “Dino Amadori” in Meldola (FC), involved in both clinical and research activities. He participated as a Co-investigator in several Phase I/II/III/IV sponsored and no-profit clinical trials.
He participated as Principal investigator or collaborator to several projects and in 2020, as co-Principal Investigator, he was awarded funding for the “Finalized Research – Young Researchers 2019” call with the AVATAR Project: “Autologous ECM-composed scaffolds and zebrafish PDXs for indiViduAlized Theranostics in rARe neuroendocrine neoplasms.”
He is author of several scientific papers published in indexed journals (Official H-Index = 32, Source: SCOPUS).
He has served and continues to serve as an Associate Editor for international peer reviewed journals in the Oncology field. As a reviewer, he has reviewed more than 50 articles for various peer-reviewed scientific journals, including, but not limited to: THE NEW ENGLAND JOURNAL OF MEDICINE, Expert Review of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Frontiers in Oncology, Future Oncology, Scientific Reports, BMC cancer, OncoTargets and Therapy, Annals of medicine, Health and Quality of Life Outcomes, etc.
He has participated as a speaker in several scientific conferences.
