Claudio Missaglia

Prof. Claudio Missaglia is a highly experienced surgeon, with a specialization in General Surgery with an Emergency focus and a deep expertise in Coloproctology, acquired at the Medical University of Marseille. His career is characterized by an impressive surgical case history, with about 11,850 operations of General Surgery and 14,450 of Coloproctology.

Currently, he holds positions of responsibility and consultancy at important institutions such as the IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, where he works in the Division of Colorectal Surgery, and the “Eretenia” Nursing Home in Vicenza where he is Head of the Coloproctology and Pelvic Floor Diseases Service. In parallel with his clinical activity, Prof. Missaglia carries out an intense academic activity as an “Expert on the Subject” at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University and a lecturer at the same University and the UniCamillus in Rome.

He is actively involved in training, holding numerous courses for specialist surgeons, and has been an Opinion Leader and Teacher for COVIDIEN for six years. Author of scientific publications and speaker at numerous national and international congresses, Prof. Missaglia is also an innovator, having designed and patented the disposable surgical kit “MISPORT”. His expertise spans advanced techniques, including videolaparoscopic (VLS) and robotic surgery, with a steadily growing annual surgical volume in the field of colorectal surgery.
