Daniele Masala
From Rome and Knight of the Republic, Daniele Masala wore the national kit for modern pentathlon over a hundred times. Twenty-four times Italian individual and team champion, receiver of two gold, two silver and four bronze medals in the World Championships, he also earned two gold and one silver medals in the Olympics.
Member of “Commissione Atleti del C.I.O” (IOC Athletes’ Commission) for three years. He is also Head of “Comitato italiano sport contro Droga” (Italian Sports Against Drugs Committee).
Freelance journalist, commentator for Radio Rai Sport at the Olympics in Barcelona ’92, Atlanta ’96, Sydney 2000, Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio de Janeiro 2016. From 2015 to 2017, he was Head of “Comitato Controlli Antidoping della NADO ITALIA” (NADO Anti-Doping Control Committee ITALY).
He taught at Università degli Studi della Magna Grecia in Catanzaro and at Università di Cassino.
Associate Professor at UniCamillus for Methods and Teaching of Physical Activities and as the Rector’s Delegate for the Promotion of Sports Activities.
