Davide Gnocchi

After graduating with honours in Biological Sciences from the University of Rome “La Sapienza,” he continued his studies with a PhD, completed partly at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and partly at the “Karolinska Institutet” in Stockholm.

After obtaining his PhD, he completed two postdoctoral fellowships at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm and at the “Weizmann Institute of Science” in Israel, where he had the opportunity to broaden his scientific knowledge in clinical chemistry and biochemistry, and tumour biology.

Subsequently, in 2017, he returned to Italy, to the University of Bari, where he worked as a researcher in the field of tumour biology and metabolism. In addition to his scientific work, he taught and provided tutoring for medical and healthcare students. In 2023, he won the “Best Paper Award” for the best scientific article of the year, published in 2022 by the journal “Biochimie,” the official scientific journal of the “French Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology” (Société Française de Biochimie et Biologie Moléculaire – SFBBM).

Prof. Davide Gnocchi is the author of numerous scientific articles in the field of experimental pathology, with particular reference to tumour biology and metabolism.

He is currently Associate Professor of General Pathology at “UniCamillus” University.
