Elena Gangitano

Endocrinological diseases - MEDS-08/A

Graduation in Medicine and Surgery with honors in 2013 and specialization in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases with honors in 2019, Sapienza University of Rome.

PhD in Endocrinological Sciences- Doctor Europaeus with honors in 2023 from the same University.

Basic and translational scientific research at the University of Oxford (UK) as Research Fellow. Attended clinics at the University of Oxford (UK), Columbia University- New York Presbyterian Hospital, New York (US), and at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, Exeter (UK).

Research Fellow at Sapienza University of Rome, Department of Experimental Medicine, Umberto I Policlinic, where she conducts clinical and translational research with a particular focus on obesity and metabolic diseases.

Author of scientific papers, published in qualified national and international journals.

Member of the scientific societies European Society of Endocrinology, Society for Endocrinology, Società Italiana di Endocrinologia, Società Italiana dell’Obesità and Associazione Medici Endocrinologi.
