Eleonora Nardi
She graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2021 from the University of Florence with a thesis in fetal–placental pathology entitled “The Study of the Placenta in the Diagnosis of Fetal Deaths: Evaluation of Molecular Alterations through NGS.” Subsequently, she began her Residency Program in Pathological Anatomy at the same University, working at the Careggi University Hospital in Florence.
During her residency, she focused on fetal–placental pathology (including training periods at the IRCCS Giannina Gaslini Pediatric Hospital in Genoa and the Agostino Gemelli University Hospital in Rome), as well as gastrointestinal pathology, cardiovascular pathology, and both fetal and adult autopsy diagnostics.
She is currently engaged in diagnostic and research activities at the Department of Women’s, Children’s and Public Health Sciences – Institute of Pathological Anatomy.
She has published in national and international journals and has presented her research at national and international conferences. In 2024, she was an invited speaker at the 36th European Congress of Pathology (ECP), delivering a presentation entitled “Placental Dysfunction and Intrauterine Fetal Demise”.
