Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from Sapienza University of Rome, Specialist in Urology, and Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology (20th Cycle).
Clinical Expertise:
He specializes in minimally invasive uro-oncological, functional, malformative, and reconstructive surgery. In 2007, he served as a clinical fellow at the Charité Mitte Berlin Krankenhaus.
Scientific Focus:
His research has consistently focused on general topographic anatomy, embryopathology, general surgical, vascular, and urological anatomy and techniques, as well as applied immunohistochemistry.
Teaching Activity:
From 2007 to 2010: Instructor of Human Anatomy at the Physiotherapy Degree Program D, Sapienza University of Rome (reinstated between 2021 and 2023).
From 2012 to 2015: Lecturer in Human Anatomy at the Nursing Science Degree Program, Università Cattolica, Rome campus.
From 2018 to present: Adjunct Professor of Topographic Anatomy at the Specialization Schools in Urology and General Surgery (Sapienza and Tor Vergata).
He also teaches topographic and surgical anatomy in Second-Level Master’s Programs at Sapienza and the University of Bari. Since 2009, he has organized and directed courses in Laparoscopic Anatomy and Surgical Technique on cadavers in Paris (Université Descartes – Paris V), Arezzo and Verona (ICLO Teaching and Research – regular member of the Scientific Committee), Hamburg (J&J – E.S.I.), and Rozzano-Milan (Humanitas University).
He is frequently invited to give lectures and courses on embryopathology, morphogenesis, topographic anatomy, and dissection techniques at Urology and General Surgery conferences (e.g., European School of Endocrine Surgery, Italian Society of Surgery), and for anesthesia (Topographic Anatomy Courses for Plexus Anesthesia).
Publications and Memberships:
Author or co-author of over 50 original articles published in indexed journals (SCOPUS) with various impact factors.
Numerous presentations at national and international conferences. Six books/monographs authored.
Ordinary member of the Italian Society of Anatomy, Histology, and Embryology.
