Specialized Intensive Care Nurse and Researcher, with advanced training in Nursing Research and a focus on the clinical and organizational dynamics of intensive care units.

She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Sapienza University of Rome, followed by a Master’s Degree in Nursing and Midwifery Sciences from the same institution, and a PhD in Nursing Science and Public Health at the University of Rome Tor Vergata.

She has gained extensive clinical experience as an Intensive Care Unit nurse, specializing in the management of critically ill respiratory patients, septic shock, and in the prevention of major complications associated with critical care hospitalization.

She conducts research on environmental sustainability in Intensive Care, patient and family experiences after intensive care, and educational models for advanced training of critical care nurses. She collaborates with international networks and participates in European multicenter projects.

She is the author of publications in peer-reviewed journals and serves as Associate Editor for Nursing in Critical Care Journal (Wiley), contributing to the methodological evaluation of qualitative and quantitative studies in critical care and to the management of the peer-review process. She is also a member of the Scientific Committee of ANIARTI – the Italian National Association of Critical Care Nurses, contributing to the definition of the Society’s research priorities and promoting evidence-based practices in critical care at the national level.

Alongside her research activity, she teaches in undergraduate and postgraduate programs and supervises thesis projects and doctoral pathways, with a particular focus on research methodology and advanced professional development.

Since November 2025, she has been a faculty member at Saint Camillus International University of Health Sciences.
