Areas of expertise: Ischemic Heart Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, Cardiovascular Prevention, and Cardiovascular Pharmacology.

Management roles: Director of the Specialization School in Cardiovascular Diseases and Director of the Cardiology Unit at the Univ. of Rome “Tor Vergata”.

Educational, scientific, and professional activities: at the Sapienza and Tor Vergata Univ. of Rome.

Clinical trials involvement: Several national and international clinical trials.

Training abroad: Heart and Vascular Institute, Henry Ford Hospital, University of Michigan, Detroit, Michigan, USA, and Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, University of Alabama at Birmingham (USA).

Teaching assignment: Cardiovascular diseases at UniCamillus, Sapienza and Tor Vergata Univ. of Rome.

Master’s degree programs: Interventional Cardiology, Critical Care, and Cardiovascular Imaging.

Current teaching assignment: Honorary Professor, Tor Vergata Univ., Master’s Degree Program in Rehabilitation Cardiology, Humanitas Consortium.

Scientific society involvement: Member of the Italian Society of Cardiology and Chairman of the Board of Directors of FINSIC, currently serving as President of the Italian Heart and Circulation Foundation “Il Cuore Siamo Noi,” a non-profit organization whose goal is to promote cardiovascular prevention.
