Giulio Sozzi

Gynecology and Obstetrics - MEDS-21/A

Professor Giulio Sozzi graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Parma in 2011. He later specialized with honors in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the same university in 2017.

After completing his specialization, he worked as an assistant and scientific coordinator starting in 2017, later assuming the role of Deputy Chief Physician in 2019 at the Department of Oncological Gynecology of the ARNAS Civico Hospital in Palermo, under the direction of Professor Vito Chiantera.

In January 2022, he joined the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome and was assigned, as part of the Gemelli-Giglio Medical Partnership, to the Giglio Institute Foundation in Cefalù, where he became Director of the Gemelli-Giglio Center for Oncological Gynecology and Endometriosis.

In July 2023, following the conclusion of the Gemelli-Giglio Medical Partnership, he was appointed Director of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Unit with an Oncological focus at the Giglio Institute Foundation in Cefalù, a position he continues to hold.

In 2023, he obtained the National Scientific Qualification (ASN) for the role of Associate Professor in Gynecology and Obstetrics. Since October 2024, he has been an Associate Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Saint Camillus International University of Health and Medical Sciences (UniCamillus) in Rome.

He is the author and co-author of 74 scientific articles published in high-impact international journals, as well as two Gynecology and Obstetrics manuals. His main clinical and scientific areas of interest include Oncological Gynecology, Gynecologic Surgery, Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery, Ultra-Radical Laparotomic Surgery, Urogynecology, and Endometriosis.

He has performed over 2,000 advanced gynecological surgeries, more than 90% of which were conducted using minimally invasive laparoscopic or robotic techniques.
