Lucia Filomeno
Lucia Filomeno is a Research Fellow at Sapienza University of Rome and a Registered Nurse at the Policlinico Umberto I University Hospital. She teaches in the Bachelor’s Degree Programmes in Nursing (both Italian and English tracks) and in the Master’s Degree in Nursing and Midwifery Sciences. She earned her PhD in Nursing Sciences and Public Health at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in 2024, in addition to two Master’s degrees (First Level in Management for the Coordination of Healthcare Professions at Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome; Second Level in Governance and Public Administration Management at Niccolò Cusano University) and an Advanced Training Course in Statistical Methods for Biomedical Research (Sapienza University of Rome).
Her research focuses on nursing education, healthcare leadership and management, quality of nursing care, the well-being of students and healthcare professionals, and digestive endoscopy. She has been involved in international research projects, including the European Erasmus+ project DIG-IT, and is the author of numerous publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals.
She serves as a reviewer for indexed scientific journals and as an Editorial Board Member for BMC Nursing.
