Luigi Schips

Professor Luigi Schips is a Full Professor of Urology and Director of the Residency Program in Urology at UniCamillus – Saint Camillus International University of Health Sciences, Rome.

He has led high-volume Urology Departments for over two decades, contributing to the clinical and organizational development of complex surgical units.His clinical activity focuses on urologic oncology, particularly renal, prostate and bladder cancer surgery, with extensive expertise in minimally invasive and robot-assisted approaches.

He was among the early European pioneers in single-port surgery and clamp-free partial nephrectomy, and currently serves as a robotic surgery proctor in multiple centers.His research interests include uro-oncology, predictive modeling and technological innovation in surgery.

He has authored over 260 peer-reviewed publications with an h-index of 47, and is an active member of major international urological societies, having also served as national commissioner for academic scientific habilitation.
