Luisa Solimando

Luisa Solimando, a Geriatrics Specialist, tenure-track researcher at UniCamillus – International Medical University in Rome, Italy.

She graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery at Sapienza University of Rome and  subsequently completed her residency in Geriatrics at the University of Palermo with an  experimental thesis entitled “LOSS OF INTRINSIC CAPACITY: PERSONALIZED MULTIMODAL  PATHWAYS FOR FUNCTIONAL RECOVERY.”

Her research focuses primarily on the multidimensional assessment of older adults. Specifically, her areas of interest include frailty and its prevention, geriatric syndromes, and  metabolic diseases in older adults, including nutrition.

She translated in Italian the ICOPE (Integrated Care for Older People) manual, promoted by the World Health Organization (WHO) to provide integrated care for older adults and promote healthy aging.
