She obtained a Master’s degree in Neurobiology and subsequently a PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology from La Sapienza University in Rome.
From 2013 to 2014, he conducted research as a PhD visiting student at the School of Psychology at the University of Sussex in Brighton (UK).
From 2015 to 2022, she continued her postdoctoral research at the Neurophysiology and Plasticity Laboratory of the IRCCS Fondazione Santa Lucia and the Department of Systems Medicine at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where she also obtained a second-level research grant.
From October 2022 to October 2025, she was a type A researcher and, subsequently, a tenure track researcher (L.240/10), SSD BIOS 12/A, at the Departmental Faculty of UniCamillus – Saint Camillus International University of Health and Medical Sciences in Rome.
His research focuses on studying the biological basis of autism spectrum disorders, with particular attention to the role of corticostriatal and cortico-striato-thalamic-cortical circuits. For the past year, he has been collaborating with Dr. Antonella Peppe at the IRCCS Fondazione Santa Lucia on gait analysis in patients with Parkinson’s disease.
Since November 2025, he has been Associate Professor, SSD BIOS 12/A at the Departmental Faculty of UniCamillus – Saint Camillus International University of Health and Medical Sciences in Rome.
