Matteo Stefanini

Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy - MEDS-22/A

Dr. Matteo Stefanini is an expert in Interventional Radiology.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 2002 and, in 2006, obtained his specialization in Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional Radiology from the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. In 2011, he earned a PhD in Interventional Procedures, also at the “Tor Vergata” University, where he additionally completed a Master’s degree in Endovascular Techniques.

Dr. Stefanini’s main areas of practice include thermoablation, carotid stenting, limb salvage procedures, lung, liver, and bone biopsies, vascular diagnostics (CT, MRI, Doppler ultrasound), abdominal aortic aneurysm treatment, varicocele treatment, and prostate MRI.

He served as a Medical Director at the Policlinico di Roma Tor Vergata, working in Interventional Radiology, until 2016. In that year, he began his career at the Department of Interventional Radiology at the “Policlinico Casilino” in Rome, where he currently holds the position of Head of Department. He also practices as a freelance physician in several private centers in Rome.

He is the author of several  national and international publications and regularly participates as a lecturer and speaker at conferences and congresses in Italy and abroad.
