Michele Marchioni

Prof. Michele Marchioni has been an Associate Professor of Urology at UniCamillus – Saint Camillus International University of Health and Medical Sciences in Rome since November 2025. He carries out his clinical activities at the Policlinico di Abano Terme (Padua), which serves as the training site for the University’s Residency Program in Urology.

He previously held the position of Associate Professor at the “G. d’Annunzio” University of Chieti-Pescara. He graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery in 2012 and completed his residency in Urology with honors in 2018 at the University of Chieti. In 2021, he obtained a PhD in Biomolecular and Pharmaceutical Sciences. He further enhanced his international expertise with a fellowship in onco-epidemiology and evaluative research at the Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (Canada) in 2017. He has also obtained the Italian National Scientific Qualification (Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale) as a Full Professor. His research focuses on uro-oncology (kidney, prostate, and bladder cancer) and the application of advanced statistical methodologies, including machine learning, to clinical research. He is the author of over 250 publications in peer-reviewed international journals and has been included in Stanford University’s prestigious “World’s Top 2% Scientists” list for the years 2024 and 2025.

In 2024, he was honored with the Italian Matula Award by the Italian Society of Urology (SIU). Prof. Marchioni is an active member of the European Association of Urology (EAU), where he holds prominent roles within the Young Academic Urologist (YAU) Renal Cancer Working Group and the ESUT Working Group on Upper Tract Urothelial Carcinoma.
