Patrizia Calella

Graduated in Food Science and Human Nutrition at the University of Naples “Federico II”, she subsequently obtained a First Level Master in Nutrition and Dietetics in Nephrology at the University of Pisa. In 2018, she earned a PhD in Sports and Exercise Sciences at the University of Naples “Parthenope”. She is a licensed Biologist and carried out research activities abroad at Newcastle University (United Kingdom).

Since 2025, she has been Associate Professor of Public Health (MED/42) at UniCamillus – Saint Camillus International University of Health Sciences, Rome. Previously, she was a Fixed-Term Researcher and Research Fellow at the University of Naples “Parthenope”.

Her research focuses on health promotion and the prevention of chronic-degenerative diseases, with particular emphasis on the role of nutrition, physical activity, and sustainable lifestyles. She has contributed to studies on body image perception, adherence to the Mediterranean diet, the impact of nutraceuticals, and vaccination promotion among adolescents and adults.

Member of SItI (Italian Society of Hygiene, Preventive Medicine and Public Health). She is the author of several scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals, as well as book chapters and numerous contributions to national and international conferences. She also serves as a reviewer for various international scientific journals in the fields of nutrition, public health, and health promotion.
