Prof. Rosa Sicilia is an Associate Professor in Information Processing Systems (IINF-05/A) at UniCamillus – Saint Camillus International University of Health Sciences.
Her research focuses on artificial intelligence, with particular emphasis on machine learning, deep learning, and multimodal data mining for the analysis of complex data in biomedical and social domains. Her main research interests include multivariate time-series analysis, radiomics and radiopathomics, explainable AI (XAI), and the development of multimodal models for precision medicine.

She has presented her work at major international conferences, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and received the Best Paper Award at the 34th IEEE International Symposium on Computer-Based Medical Systems (IEEE CBMS 2021). She served as General Chair of the 2023 edition of CBMS and Co-General Chair for the 2025 edition.

Prof. Sicilia is a member of international scientific committees, reviewer for high-impact journals, and Guest Editor for leading journals such as Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Health Information Science and Systems. Since 2025, she has served as Chair of the IEEE CBMS Steering Committee.

She has contributed to several national and international research projects and holds an Italian patent for an intelligent subcutaneous delivery device, recognized for its industrial innovation. Her scientific production includes over 40 publications, with more than 500 citations and an h-index of 13.
