Sara Balzan
Sara Balzan is a critical care-operating room nurse with over 35 years of experience. She has been engaged in education for 25 years; her major topics are: advanced surgical nursing, the philosophy of nursing, humanization of care and qualitative research. Over the years, she has deepened the themes of the meaning of the body in care, nursing advocacy, the emotional experience in nursing care.
She has published and presented several scientific works. She is also a Qualified Therapeutic Touch Practitioner, a title conferred by the International Council of Nursing; she is also a panellist for drafting the Italian guidelines for Complementary Care in Palliative Care.
