Simone Amato
Simone Amato, RN, PhD, is a critical care nurse working in the cardiac surgery intensive care unit at the San Camillo-Forlanini Hospital, a referral center for heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support, including ventricular assist devices.
His scientific activity focuses on clinical research, with particular interest in self-care, quality of life, and symptom management in highly complex patients.
He is involved in university teaching and participates in clinical research projects. He also takes part in pediatric surgical humanitarian missions in resource-limited settings.
