She holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Padua and a PhD from the Institute of Pharmacological Research “Mario Blacks” in collaboration with the Open University of London. She carried out the postdoc first at Queen Mary University in London (laboratory of Prof. Balkwill) and then at the European Oncology Institute in Milan. At the University of Brescia she held the position of Research Fellow and Assistant Professor. A at the Department of Molecular and Translational Medicine. During her stay at the University of Brescia she obtained a Specialty Diploma in Clinical Pathology and Clinical Biochemistry.

The research activity is mainly aimed at characterizing the role of leukocyte recruitment in experimental models of autoimmune diseases (rheumatoid arthritis) and in the process of intestinal and pulmonary carcinogenesis, using genetic animal models, chemical-induced carcinogenesis and transplantable tumor models. In this context, she investigated the role of the atypical chemokine receptor CCRL2/ACKR5 in tumor progression.

During her time abroad, her work produced a patent for the chemokine receptor inhibitor CCR4, of which she is one of the inventors.

She is the author of scientific publications in indexed journals of international relevance and has participated in several national and international studies on a collaborative basis.

Since 2004 he has received several awards and recognitions for his scientific activity, he is currently a member of the Italian Society of Immunology, Clinical Immunology and Allergology (SIICA) and has participated in numerous national and international congresses as a speaker.

Member of the Editorial Board of the Frontiers Section in Cancer Immunity and Immunotherapy as Associate Editor, she works as a reviewer for international journals in the immunology field.
