Clinical placements, however, are conducted in Italian to ensure effective integration into the Italian healthcare system and appropriate communication with patients, healthcare teams, and healthcare facilities. This approach enables students to develop proficiency in international clinical and scientific terminology while also acquiring the linguistic and interpersonal skills necessary to practice the profession in Italy.
Classes are conducted in person at the UniCamillus campus in Rome, located at Via di Sant’Alessandro 8, 00131 Rome, Italy.
Clinical internship take place in affiliated healthcare facilities, carefully selected according to department and area of specialization. This allows students to combine theoretical learning with hands-on clinical practice and direct patient interaction throughout their academic journey, ensuring the progressive development of professional skills in real healthcare settings.
The UniCamillus teaching model is student-centered and strongly focused on practical training. Teaching combines:
A central role is played by the Clinical Simulation Laboratory, equipped with advanced, high-tech tools that allow students to develop hands-on skills and refine their abilities without compromising patient safety.
In a safe and controlled environment, students work through realistic scenarios where they apply what they have learned, face complex situations, make decisions, and observe their outcomes. Thanks to highly advanced and realistic manikins, students can practice numerous clinical procedures—including blood draws, catheterization techniques, enteral nutrition, and wound and stoma care management. An advanced simulator is also available for more complex clinical scenarios.
The aim is to develop the technical, relational, and organizational competencies essential for working in the healthcare profession.
Graduates in Nursing can find employment in public or private healthcare facilities, in community healthcare services, and in home care settings, either as employees or self-employed professionals.
