It is with great sadness that we learned of the death of Professor Laura Pacini, who passed
away yesterday. Her loss is a source of great grief to the entire academic community.
Professor Pacini was a shining example of passion and dedication in the field of Biology. She
guided generations of students with expertise and humanity, instilling in them not only
knowledge, but also the values of curiosity, research, and critical thinking. Her presence, her
dedication, her constant commitment, and her courage were an inspiration to all of
us—colleagues and students alike—who had the privilege of working alongside her.
We will miss her guidance, her enthusiasm, and her spirit of collaboration.
Her legacy will live on in the many students she taught and the countless projects she helped
bring to life.
