In May and June, at UniCamillus University, we don’t just talk about ‘internationalisation’. We put it into practice. We welcome it. And, as the events calendar below shows, we are certainly not standing still.
The programme for the month is packed: students, international schools, global webinars and visits from abroad. In short, a month in which the University has chosen to transform itself into a small global hub—without any time-zone issues!
25th May – the first international webinar: welcome and orientation without borders
The ‘international’ month officially opens on 25th May with a particularly significant event: UniCamillus’s first international webinar, held entirely in English and open to students from all over the world. The goal: to make future students feel part of the University community even if they are still miles away.
On the one hand, the aim is to support international students who have already been admitted or are about to enrol, providing practical information about their arrival in Italy and the start of their academic journey. On the other hand, it offers a point of reference for those who are still exploring their options and choosing their academic future.
Speaking at the event will be:
- the International Office, covering everything you need to know before you arrive;
- Antonella Palombo, Academic Manager of the MSc in Medicine and Surgery programme taught in English, who will guide students through the world of ‘Medicine and Surgery’;
- Marwa Fichera, who will provide an overview of the Healthcare Professions.
26th May: the University welcomes Izmir
The following day, 26th May, online sessions will give way to in-person meetings. On this date, UniCamillus will open its doors to an international delegation of 25 students from Bahçeşehir College in Izmir, accompanied by their Head of School.
The day will be organised as an immersive experience: a light welcome breakfast, followed by a presentation of the academic programmes in UniLabs’ Lecture Theatre 2 and a guided tour of the University, designed to allow guests to experience the UniCamillus identity and atmosphere first-hand.
The event represents an important opportunity for dialogue and hospitality, during which the University presents itself not only through its programmes, but also through its community and daily life.
12th June: a dialogue with one of Istanbul’s leading educational institutions
The international programme continues on 12th June with a visit to the University by six counsellors from The Koç School in Istanbul, one of Turkey’s most prestigious private schools.
The meeting will focus on exploring UniCamillus’s academic programmes, with the aim of providing the counsellors with useful tools and insights to better guide their students once they return home.
The visit is part of a network of relationships built over time, further strengthened by the University’s participation in international education fairs in Turkey, which have enabled direct contact with schools and educational representatives particularly interested in the study programmes offered by UniCamillus.
An ‘Internationalisation Month’ that becomes a story
The events in May and June are not isolated initiatives, but part of a broader strategy that positions UniCamillus as an increasingly prominent player on the international stage.
All activities will be covered by the University’s fantastic social media team, creating a genuine ‘Internationalisation Month’: a collective narrative made up of encounters, faces, languages and cultures, which everyone will be able to follow through our social media channels.
A month that not only celebrates international outreach, but turns it into a tangible, shared experience. Because UniCamillus doesn’t just ‘engage in internationalisation’: it lives it, as a fundamental part of its daily life.
Towards the East: a summer in Osaka and Tokyo
And what next? Our sights are already set further afield! Once Internationalisation Month is over, the world doesn’t stop turning, and UniCamillus follows suit: on 20th July, our Orientation team will be present at the Osaka Expo, thanks to our collaboration with partner MED Italy, whilst on 2nd August the University will head to Tokyo, once again alongside the same partner and with the support of student Emma Oku, a third-year student on the MSc Medicine and Surgery and a true ambassador for the UniCamillus international project.
An increasingly global identity, month after month
Through webinars, institutional visits and international meetings, UniCamillus University continues to engage with the world, embrace diverse cultures and build relationships that transcend geographical boundaries. A month that is not merely a sequence of events, but the story of a University that continues to open up more and more on a global level. And the next chapter? It is already in the making…
