Biography

Dr Belleggia graduated with honors in Dentistry and Dental Prosthesis from the Catholic University of Sacred Heart in Rome, Italy, in 1997. He worked as an oral and implant surgeon at San Giovanni Calibita “Fatebenefratelli” General Hospital in Rome, from 2000 to 2007. Subsequently, he received his post graduate degree with honors in oral surgery from the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” in 2009.He was an active member of the former Italian Society of Osseointegration (SIO) from 2012 to 2015, as well as founder and past-president of the Italian section of the Osstem-AIC (Advanced Dental Implant Research & Education Center) from 2015 to 2016. Dr Belleggia has published several papers and has lectured on periodontology, osseointegration, oral surgery, bone regeneration, and soft tissue reconstruction at implant site. He periodically lectures and provides practical training courses of advanced techniques for bone regeneration and soft tissue reconstruction using live surgery and hands-on application in a small group environment. He maintains a private practice in Rome, focusing on periodontics, oral surgery and oral implantology.
