Luca Boldrini currently works as Radiation Oncologist at the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario “A. Gemelli” IRCCS of Rome, Italy, where he coordinates the MRI guided radiotherapy research program.
His clinical activity is primarily oriented to lung cancer treatment.
His primary research interests include MRI guided radiotherapy, radiomics, imaging applications in the framework of personalised medicine and innovative technologies implementation in cancer care.
He has earned his PhD in Oncological Sciences focusing on “Radiation Oncology, imaging and technological innovation” at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Rome in 2021. He is member of several national and international scientific associations, member of the young board of the “Associazione Italiana di Radioterapia ed Oncologia clinica” (AIRO) and currently serves as clinical director of the “In-room MR-Guided Radiotherapy” course of the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO).
He obtained the National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professore (06/I1-MED36) in 2022.
