Biography

Researcher at “Saint Camillus International University of Health Sciences” of Rome, graduated in Pharmaceuticals Biotechnology in 2011 at University of Milan. In 2015 she obtained a PhD in the same University in collaboration with IRCCS Institute of Pharmacological Research Mario Negri in Milan.

From 2015 to 2019 she has carried out her research activity at the Department of Neuroscience of Mario Negri Institute and she was RTDa researcher in the Department of Pharmacological and Biomolecular Sciences at the University of Milan, combining her research activity with teaching.

From 2019 to 2024, she carried out her research activity at European Brain Research Institute (EBRI) – Fondazione Rita Levi Montalcini in Rome.

Her scientific interest has always been to study the intracellular mechanisms underlying neuronal death and synaptic dysfunction with the final aim of identifying neuroprotective strategies for the treatment of different neurodegenerative disorders. To this aim, she has developed several cellular and molecular biology protocols by using both in vivo and in vitro experimental models.
