Biography

Cellular and Molecular Biologist, she got her PhD at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in 2013.
She has performed research activity at IRCCS Fondazione Santa Lucia (Rome, Italy) and Sanford-Burnham-Prebys Medical Discovery Institute (San Diego, USA).

Her scientific activity is mainly focused on the study of muscle pathologies, in particular Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, in order to identify new diagnostic tools and therapies to counteract the progression of the disease.

She has solid experience in the fields of epigenetic pharmacology and regenerative medicine.

She is the author of several publications in prestigious international journals and winner of grants and research awards.

Since November 2022 she has been Associate Professor in the disciplinary scientific sector MED / 05 Clinical Pathology, at the Departmental Faculty of Medicine of the Saint Camillus International University of Health Sciences – UniCamillus, Rome.
