Prof. Fornetti is Researcher with a strong background in cellular and molecular biology, focusing on skeletal muscle tissue engineering and neuroscience.
She completed her PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata,” specializing in the use of iPSCs and microfluidics to study the human neuromuscular junction in vitro under both physiological and pathological conditions.
She has gained experience in both Italian and international research institutes, contributing to muscle regeneration projects and developing skills in cell culture, 3D bioprinting, and advanced molecular biology techniques.
She is currently conducting research at the Italian Institute of Technology, focusing on modeling neurodegenerative diseases and neurodevelopment using iPSCs and brain organoids, and is a Type A Researcher at UniCamillus.
