Biography

Prof. Gallucci has more than 10 years of experience with significant contributions to the development of Urological Robotic Surgery worldwide, in collaboration with some of the leading experts in robotic surgery such as Professor I. Gill University of Southern California Los Angeles.

Between 2018 and 2020, he contributed and actively participated in the prospective single-center randomised clinical trial “Open versus robotic radical cystectomy with totally intracorporeal urinary diversion” at the IRCSS IFO-Regina Elena National Cancer Center.

In 2019, he published an innovative technique to remove endophytic kidney tumours by robotic partial nephrectomy with Near Infrared Fluorescence Imaging after superselective transarterial delivery of ICG-lipidol.

In 2019, he published a novel technique for functional sparing of the urethra and ejaculatory function in patients undergoing robotic simple prostatectomy with Near Infrared Fluorescence Imaging for benign prostatic hypertrophy.

Between 2019 and 2020, he inaugurated and has been in charge of the Robotic Surgery Centre at Policlinico Umberto I, La Sapienza University of Rome.

Today, Prof. Gallucci represents a reference point in minimally invasive robotic-assisted treatment of the main pathologies of the genitourinary system.
