Ophthalmologist at the Maculopathy Center of IRCCS-Fondazione Bietti within the San Giovanni Addolorata Hospital Complex from 2008 to 2017

Head of the Medical Retina Unit of IRCCS-Fondazione Bietti from 2015 to present

Associate Professor in the Specialist Course in Integrated Disciplines – Degree in Medicine and Surgery – UniCamillus International University of Health and Medical Sciences – Rome 2024

Member of European Faculty of ESASO (European School of Advanced Studies in Ophthalmology) from 2016 to present

Author of over 200 scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals

Principal investigator and co-investigator in numerous national, european, and international research projects

Main research activities are focused on the diagnosis and treatment of major chorioretinal diseases such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vascular diseases. Special interest is given to multimodal imaging of retinal and choroidal pathologies.
