Graduated in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies at the University “G. D’Annunzio” of Chieti, she obtained the PhD in “Biomedical Sciences” at the University of Chieti and at the University College London (UCL, London). Over the years she has developed a broad experience in the field of cell biology and its biomedical applications, spending three years as a postdoctoral fellow in the United States at Harvard Medical School in Boston.
Currently, she is a Researcher at the University “G. D’Annunzio” of Chieti where she carries out research activities mainly aimed at studying the therapeutic potential of bio-active compounds on innovative cellular models and genetics studies in the field of cardiovascular prevention. In addition, she is interested in the study of new therapeutic approaches in stem cell technology and regenerative medicine.
She is author of numerous scientific publications in international journals and of numerous conference communications as a speaker.
Reviewer and editor in several international scientific journals.
She is an active member of several scientific companies and has directed and taken part in research projects funded by national and international public bodies.
