She graduated  in Medicine and Surgery and specialized in Allergy and Clinical Immunology  at  Sapienza, University of Rome. She obtained a PhD in Immunologic Science at the University of Ancona. She works as rheumatologist  (Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria Policlinico Umberto I) where she is responsible for the Day Hospital in the Rheumatology Unit. Most of her research activities were committed to study autoimmune diseases of rheumatologic interest, in particular Sjögren’s Syndrome and Adult Onset Still DIsease. She is part of the teaching team of the specialization school in Rheumatology (Sapienza University of Rome). She is the author/co-author of more than 120 scientific articles  and has been invited as speaker  to several scientfic meetings and congress .
