Over 20 years,Professor Russo is a Medical Doctor specialized in Microbiology and Virology. During her professional career, provided comprehensive infectious disease diagnostics encompassing all Clinical Microbiology and Virology areas.

In conjunction with passion led new integrated decision-making solutions, implemented tailored protocols and procedures for Management of infections in critical paediatric patients and transplantation recipients.

Improved effectiveness for patients and efficiency by financial stewardship reached significant reduction in cost analysis. Awarded several research grants by Ministry of Health and Industries for development of new test and biotechnologies.

Active participation in educational charity programs in Low Income countries in Africa and Asia.
