Prof. Tassone graduated in Biological Sciences at the University of Rome la Sapienza and later obtained a PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”.
She has carried out a fruitful research activity also in various international laboratories such as the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical school, Boston USA and at the Katholieke University of Leuven, Belgium.
Referee and guest editor for several international journals in the field of neurobiology and molecular biology.
Winner of several international awards, she is currently a research biologist at the laboratory of Neurophysiology and Plasticity at Fondazione Santa Lucia IRCCS, where she carries out scientific research on on the anatomy and functions of the basal ganglia and their involvement in the pathophysiology of movement disorders such as dystonia and Parkinson’s disease.
