Biography

Public Health Doctor, currently serving as the Director General of Health Prevention at the Ministry of Health.

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Naples “Federico II” and specialized in Health Statistics at the University “La Sapienza” in Rome, he has gained extensive experience in organizing healthcare services, leading important structures of the National Health Service (SSN), including the National Institute for Infectious Diseases “Lazzaro Spallanzani” IRCCS, where he distinguished himself in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Throughout his career, he has undertaken numerous actions to protect Public Health, involving a wide range of key stakeholders such as Italian institutions, international organizations, law enforcement and military, media, authorities, and judicial bodies.

He is a lecturer in Health Economics and Health Organization.
